It wasn't only the story that kept me riveted. It was characters that I loved or detested with a passion — Vine Voice DreamBeast

Pia Sabel is hoping to escape corporate life on a soccer field when a dying Russian spy gives her a USB drive filled with impenetrable codes. Her team sets out to unravel the mystery. But the documents raise more questions than answers. Chief among these is the link between a Cold War spy master, her parents’ murders, and the presidential campaign’s frontrunner.

You can feel them facing evil, staring it in the face and saying, "Bring it on!" — Ann Graham

As Jacob’s team closes in, the hacker offers Pia a bargain. She opts to face down the Cold Warrior who ordered her parents killed. But the old-timer still has some deadly tricks up his sleeve. When overwhelming forces descend on her, she must decide, will she die on an isolated, arctic island, or rise up and exact her revenge?

Where has Seeley James been spending his free time!!!

Seeley James definitely has a winner in “Death And Treason” ! This story is so close to what is happening in the USA today, that it makes you wonder where Seeley James has been spending his free time. The story mimics what’s going on in the political world of the USA and some other countries in the world right now! It gave me the chills several times because it hits so close to home. But Seeley started dropping clues in previous books so I’ve decided he must have an IN with Mercury, Jacob’s imaginary god. This is definitely a page turner from word one and is still holding on to you when you read the last word. I haven’t been reading Seeley James long, this is just the 4th book. I’ve discovered that each book keeps getting better than the one before. More twists and turns, more action and more intrigue to try and figure out. I definitely loved this book in the Pia and Jacob saga! Highly recommend this author and this series. You won’t be sorry, grab the first one now!
